Weekend Gamer
Its funny that I have a video game blog and yet I don’t play video games that much anymore. When I was younger I loved playing video games but as I grew older my interests moved on to things like guitars, music, web design, nature etc.
I still like talking about them and playing them the odd time however I’m more of the retro gamer, thus why I created VG Retro. I find that old games have never really left us and are still played daily by thousands. I mean how many people can honestly afford to spend 300 - 400 dollars or more on a new console?
I came to the conclusion that I am going to start playing an old game starting with probably an old favorite of mine Final Fantasy 4 for the Super Nintendo. I’ll play though the game during my weekends off in another attempt to get me back into gaming. My friends usually bug me into buying a new console and I’m pretty close to breaking down and buying a Nintendo Wii.
If not Final Fantasy I think I will finish the game I almost finished sometime last year, I’d stay up till late on a Friday night (yes I’m a geek) playing Soul Blazer for the Super Nintendo which is a classic action/rpg if you haven’t played it already.
Speaking of Soul Blazer I wouldn’t mind getting a copy of Act Raiser again to, these are both great games and now that I’m thinking about it I am going to start playing retro games daily. It’s hard to get back into something that you used to love doing but they are classic games and they always bring back fond memories of playing them.
