Warsong

Here’s a great RPG for the Sega Genesis that deserves mention, it’s called Warsong or Langrisser in Japan. You play Prince Garett of Baltia and you are fighting the Dalsis Empire as your basic story of good versus evil. I won’t talk much about the story because that’s for you to find out. If you want look it up in Wikipedia and learn all you want to know.

With most RPG’s this one is slightly different then your traditional random encountered battle as you follow the story each scene will commence a new fight more or less. The music soundtrack is quite good and so is the story as it kept me playing for hours and coming back to play more.

Garrett your hero starts the game with a friend Baldarov which is Garrett’s mentor and teacher. You meet friends along your way such as Mina, Calais, Sabra, Tiberon, Thorne and many others. During the first battle you are introduced to many of the main characters some of which I mentioned above as you do battle with your enemies invading the castle.

If you’re a fan of role-playing games and looking for something new I highly suggest Warsong, it’s somewhat of a rare game but complete you can usually find it on eBay for $40.00 or less but don’t expect to pay much more than that.
