SNK Neo Geo

Another early 90’s cartridge based console the Neo Geo was created by the Japanese video game company SNK. Features included within the console were high-quality sound comapired to its compettitors and stunning colorful 2D graphics.
Both the AES (Advanced Entertainment System) and the MVS (Multi Video System) were avaliable the AES being the home console and the MVS being the arcade console which was much more expensive.
It started off being only being able to rent in hotel rooms however popularity of the system kicked in and it was soon released for the public being sold in stores. The Neo Geo at the time had much better sound and graphics then any other system currently on the market.
The Neo Geo was planned to be sold for a massive ammount of $599.99 in the states when it was first released however that idea was scrapped and was changed to the more expensive $649.99 and came with two controllers, memory card and Magician Lord as a starter game.
The console was finally dropped in 2004 after it’s last game release and with the bankruptcy of SNK in 2000.
