Rare NES RPG: Dragon Warrior Series

Dragon Warrior, Dragon Warrior II Dragon Warrior III and of course Dragon Warrior IV are quite hard to find nowadays and the serious collector should consider picking these games up if all possible. When they are complete in box they can easily fetch over 150 dollars for the collection.

The original Dragon Warrior is the one game you will usually find in a thrift shop or at your local garage sale as it’s quite common compared to its predecessors. I know I’ve been talking about role-playing games a lot lately and I’ll switch to other topics soon I promise.

These games always stood out for me while growing up, my older brother also enjoyed role-playing games and its from him where I learned about Dragon Warrior. He used to own them all actually but eventually sold them.

For those who don’t know here’s a little bit of history. The series started in 1986 and was created by Enix. This started in Japan so the series was actually entitled Dragon Quest, Dragon Warrior was the name for it in North America.

I played all the Dragon Warrior games except for the second I believe but I’d have to say that Dragon Warrior III is my favorite of them all, the fourth being very good to. The music and graphics for the Nintendo Entertainment System were amazing for the time.

I added the eBay link above which I hope will help you find the right game your looking for. Take a good look around because you can piece together your Dragon Warrior collection and it might end up costing you less than you think. Good Luck!
