Super Mario Bros DS Cake

Here’s a great looking cake that I wouldn’t mind for my birthday, probably take quite some time but either way a very cool idea. I find that Nintendo is used everywhere, I posted a little while ago how people were constructing Nintendo scenes from Lego.

Game Gavel, your retro video game auction site!

URL: Game Gavel
Game Gavel was brought to my attention a while back and this is a resource retro gamers and collectors have been waiting for. Game Gavel is much like eBay however it is a free alternative to other auction sites such as eBay.

Remembering the RPG Classics

We have all played Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, Breath of Fire, Secret of Mana, Arcana and many more but how many of you pick up the game, dust off your old SNES and play it once a year?

Nintendo Characters and Scenes made from Lego

I ran across a few images of Nintendo scenes and characters that were made from Lego and its a great idea. Some really creative stuff you’ll see below, I’ve gathered a few from around Google images. If you own one of these and want it removed or credited for it please contact us and I’d [...]

How about wearing a NES as a Belt Buckle?

I love my retro games and all but I think this one has gone to far. If you do a search on Google for NES Buckle you will come across a website that sells these portable nes belts that you can wear and of course if your near a TV you can play Nintendo.

Datel’s classic controller for the Wii

Nice work on Datel’s part releasing a controller for the Wii that looks like the classic famicom NES controller. Currently its only available in Japan and runs about $15.00 or so. The controller itself has more buttons then the original but thats to be expected of course.

NES Controller for PC, one sweet NES Mod

I came across this mod this morning and I can remember someone else putting a NES into a controller using it with a TV or something, however this is neat. Its USB this time and the software to run he controller is already programmed into the controller itself.

Can’t find an original, port it!

Players who want to be taken back to the glory days of gaming (16-bit and back) have a couple options to get their retro gaming fix. For one, they can dust off the old console or buy one of the many clone console available today. Or, if they, like me, took their NES apart so [...]

Super Mario World for Super Nintendo Review

Super Mario World was one of the most popular games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment system and is still played by millions today. The game came packaged with the Super Nintendo at one point so you could play as soon as you bought the console.

Gradius on WiiWare

This classic game is on its way to WiiWare as the retro gaming continues on the Wii. We’re glad to see the Wii putting out these great games on their new console and thanks to Nintendo and Konami we can now play Gradius again!

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for Super Nintendo Review

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest I though was pretty fun when it was first released, it was originally made as a beginners role-playing game and something that would introduce them to harder games such as Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 4, Chrono Trigger, etc.

Sega Megadrive Handheld System

While you can’t use your own old Sega carts to use with this portable console you do get 20 classic games which are much to be desired. I like seeing these games released however many companies did this in the past and loaded it with maybe 5 games and they were not all that great.
