Nintendo Week - SNES Mouse

SNES Mouse

I though we would now talk about one of my favorite games and a great accessory that came with it, it’s the SNES Mouse. When I was a kid I would go to the video game store pretty much every day to see if Mario paint was available for rent. I was usually turned down as it was always rented but some days I would get it and run home playing it for hours.

The overall idea of playing a game with a mouse was a new concept for a lot of gamers at the time and for most the Nintendo mouse did not appeal to them. I on the other hand loved it and like I said above would play it for hours and soon enough I did not have to run up to see if the game was available for rent.

I can’t remember if it was on my birthday or for Christmas but my mom bought me a brand new copy of Mario paint and I couldn’t be more happy with it.

For those who don’t really know what I’m talking about the SNES Mouse was an accessory that was released by Nintendo in 1992 originally as a controller for the game Mario Paint. Many other games followed after Mario Paint that also could use the SNES Mouse.
