My friends always wondered why I never bother to go out and get the latest video game console on the market. Well for one they are poorly built as I can recall many of my friends who purchased an XBoX 360 and was disappointed when it would no longer work shortly after they have owned it.

The second reason is because video game consoles are being thrown out there and there is so many games to play, I mean I haven’t even played all the Nintendo NES games or Super Nintendo SNES Games let along Atari 2600, ColecoVision, and well the list goes on.

I can remember getting the Nintendo 64 for Christmas when I was younger and until a few months ago that’s what I still used. I was more then happy with my 16-bit and 8-bit consoles of old and didn’t find the need to go out and get a new console.

That’s until the battery died in several of my Super Nintendo Games and that my friends was a final straw. I picked up my old games and put them in a big bin and put them into storage. I however had purchased a FC Twin and still play Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario World and many other classics on it daily.

It’s currently resting beside my new PlayStation 2, well new to me anyway. That’s basically what I’ve been trying to get at this whole time. The PlayStation 2 is quite old now and with the Wii, XBoX 360 and even the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2 is more then enough to do me for years to come.

For those people out there that only have played the latest consoles get your hands on a FC Twin or if you can find one that works NES and or SNES. Play the crap out of the old games because they will NEVER lose their greatness, and compared to the video games of today these are all you need.
