Here’s some interesting, the NES has become the first downloadable application for Mac’s iPhone OS 1.2. The NES application emulates the Nintendo Entertainment System, letting you play various games right on your iPhone.

Yes the Nintendo lives on!

The nice part is that there are already many public domain and home-brew games available for the Nintendo which in theory you can download for free, well you would think so anyway. You need ROM images to use the NES application, which are basically images of games written for the Nintendo Entertainment System platform. Depending on your location you may be able to legally own a ROM image of a game that you already own.

Some features include landscape mode where you can turn your iPhone counter-clockwise, zapper tap where you can shoot objects on screen, full screen mode, save state and even the game genie.

We stumbled upon this video which may help you install NES to your iPhone. Please do this at your own risk!
