Atari 2600 Joystick and Intellivision Controller

When it comes down to this I mut say that the Atari 2600 joysticks trimunth over the Intellivisions anyday. The last time I hooked up my Intellivision I was dissapointed because they did not work very well due to the disc built into the controller was very beaten up and used from many years of gaming. The Atari 2600 joystick however was in perfect working order.

I listed some main points below when it comes to the matter of which controller is better. This is the Intellivision vs the Atari 2600 of course.

The Intellivision

  • 1. The Intellivision controller is built into the system and cannot be replaced.
  • 2. The Intellivision controller is not very strudy and the buttons are weak.
  • 3. Has a disc that eventually wears itself out and will become very hard to use.

Atari 2600

  • 1. Atari 2600 controllers can be replaced, unplugged and upgraded.
  • 2. Many different joysticks created from various third party companies can be found.
  • 3. Tough and will withstand many years of gaming.

I grew up using the Intellivision so in my opinion I do like the Intellivision more then the Atari but when it comes to controllers there is no contest and Atari comes out a champ.
