Several issues with the FC Twin Console

When I first heard about a video game console that can play both Nintendo and Super Nintendo games I searched the web for it to read up on it. The FC Twin seemed like a sure thing however some games would not work with the console.

I looked over the list of games for the console that would not work and it was a pretty small list and I didn’t have any of the game that were listed so I decided to go ahead and purchase one. To my suprise locally it was close to 60 dollars but I wanted it now so I nabbed it.

The next few months past and I had great fun playing my old NES and SNES games. The main reason I bought the FC Twin was because any of my three Nintendo systems would not work and that’s after replacing the 72 pin connector.

It wasn’t long until the controllers that came with the FC Twin started to ware out. Disappointed I look for other controllers and find some used SNES controllers at a local thrift store and of course they don’t work either. I check a local pawn shop and I’m shocked to see the controllers selling for 5 dollars!

Angry with the fact that my new console’s controllers do not work as well as they should I continue looking for SNES controllers until I find some at the same thrift store I had searched before. I go home and try them out and of course they work fine, much better then the controllers that came packaged with them.

Don’t get me wrong I love my FC Twin I just wish they made their controllers better that’s all. The last thing I want to say is that there is actually quite a few games that do not work so well with the FC Twin one being Super Mario Kart, the second is Samuari Showdown.

In Super Mario Kart the overall directional pad does not work correctly and in Samuari Showdown and many other games when you press Y or X it pauses the game. This could just be my console but either way I would like to get to the bottom of it. I’ll have to do some searching myself and see if I can find out the problem or a better replacement console.
