Dragonfire for Atari 2600 Review
I’ve played this game a few times and if you do manage to get a copy of this for your collection I recommend it. It’s one of those classic games we all remember while growing up, I never had an Atari 2600 while growing up as my Dad had an Intellivision instead.Which rocks IMO!
Dragonfire was released for the Atari 2600 in 1982 and was created by Imagic. During the game your character had to avoid fireballs from the dragons, grab as much treasure as you could and retreat. I think that’s the basis of the game but I didn’t have much time to play it.
The game was quite detailed and Imagic did a great job at the game in general. I forgot to mention above but there were two separate screens in Dragonfire, the first is a side scroll type of screen where you had to avoid fireballs to get to the dragon.
The second screen is where you had to nab the treasure, this was displayed in a top view. Overall a fun retro game to play.
