DK Tribute: Day 1 - Donkey Kong Country Commercial

I want to highlight this game for the Super Nintendo because I think it played a HUGE role in boosting the consoles popularity and providing the consoles users with a great classic game that will be played for years to come.

This is going to be a 5 part series that starts today July 3, 2008 and will be over July 7th, it’s main goal is to talk about the various parts of Donkey Kong Country. Now your probably thinking this is going to provide you with just information on the game itself. Wrong.

This 5 day review will go over several parts of the game that I enjoyed, show you where to get a cheap copy for your SNES, in game screenshots and photos, music and much more. I though I’d like to start this off with the actual commercial for the game.

There may be more commercials out there but this one I though was good. I noticed one thing while watching it is that they mention Sega right away saying NOT AVAILABLE ON SEGA as well as many other consoles.

Many manufacturers and developers have been doing this for years and well even Atari would say “Only on Atari” but enough of that we’re getting away from the game itself. This post is meant to basically explain what this is about and what you should except to see over the coming days.
