Nintendo NES Turned Into Electric Guitar NESPaul

Interesting concept guitar made from a Japanese famicom I believe. I’ve seen guitars built out of the other version but this is the first time I’ve seen one like this. I’m a musician myself and always love seeing mods like this one.

SNES Mod - Portable Super Nintendo

I had a post late last month about a portable Sega Genesis which I though was pretty cool however the games were built into the console. This portable Super Nintendo you can just put any cartridge in the back of it and go ahead and play.

NES turned into a DVD Player

Its about time someone tried this, very neat idea that does not require a lot of work. Basically take your old non-working NES and strip the guys from it and somehow fit a cheap DVD player into the NES body. Many DVD players nowadays are very tiny so this mod can be easy to pull [...]

Nintendo DS styled as NES

People sure love retro gaming, I mean this guy went to the trouble of making his Nintendo DS resemble a NES. The NES as tricky as it is to get it to actually work nowadays has been a very popular item for various gamer mods.

How about wearing a NES as a Belt Buckle?

I love my retro games and all but I think this one has gone to far. If you do a search on Google for NES Buckle you will come across a website that sells these portable nes belts that you can wear and of course if your near a TV you can play Nintendo.

NES Controller for PC, one sweet NES Mod

I came across this mod this morning and I can remember someone else putting a NES into a controller using it with a TV or something, however this is neat. Its USB this time and the software to run he controller is already programmed into the controller itself.

Play Super Nintendo on your Smartphone

Neat way of putting Super Nintendo roms on the Shadow phone. The video gives you a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it. Looks pretty interesting to me however I don’t have this type of phone to try it out.

Multi-Platform Portable Console System

Modded by Bacteria this device is a portable gaming system able to play Super Nintendo, Nintendo NES, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Amstrad GX4000, Jaguar Game Boy and even Playstation. Various adapters were created to use with each console game you put into the system.

Ben Heck’s Atari 7800 Portable

Ben had originally created a portable Atari 2600 and due to requestes he decided to take on this project.

Portable N64

I was waiting for someone to create one of these and now it’s finally out there. The L64 which actually stands for L337-N64 includes support for external controllers and expansion pack. When you think about it this thing is pretty amazing and could clearly be packaged and sold to a mass market.

Giant NES Controller

I love seeing people still enjoying older consoles but building a monster controller? Here’s a video of a man that created a giant functional NES controller, coincidently it doubles as a coffee table and storage unit.
