I am sure you have played Goldeneye 64 before, and some will even know what I am about to talk about. As you get to the end of the first mission, and you look across the dam there is a tiny island. Read More…

The other day I was playing the RPG Lufia II, for SNES, and I came across a weird little line of dialog by Tia. The line occurs when you go into the cave, right after Alunze Kingdom, and before you get Guy. It is as you enter the dungeon, to get the key for the shrine to go to Tabul, and after you find the little boy on the ledge. During this conversation there is a line referencing the tendency of mothers to be protective of kids.

Now, this is a very average theme, but, in a game where no character has a child until later on in the game, and it is not between these two characters it is strange. Maxim hoves off what Tia says, but, Tia says something to the effect of, “you don’t understand.” The exact quote I am speaking of is as follows;

“Maxim: You’re so good with kids, Tia.

Tia: I’m just prepared, that’s all.

Maxim: Of course.

Tia: (If only he could understand what I mean by that, I wouldn’t be so frustrated.)

<>Maxim: What’s on your mind, Tia?

Tia: Oh, nothing. Let’s go, Maxim.”

As you can see, it almost does seem like Maxim got Tia pregnant, and she won’t tell him. Either that, or Maxim would not believe here even if she tried to admit it. Now, this could seem like nothing to some, and I could seem to be blowing it all out of proportion. However, if one does look at this from an out-of-the-box view, they will see something different. It could possibly be Tia is the mother of “The Hero” from Lufia I.

How is this possible, you might ask? Well, we were never told who, of the possible girls, Maxim was with birthed our hero. Now, if you still think that is too far fetched than you’ll scream at my next theory. If “the hero”, is of Maxim Selan, than who birthed Lufia?  Is it possible, the reason Lufia and the hero are so attached, is also a biological one. Could Lufia had been Tia’s daughter, sent to help “the hero” in the original game.

I will admit I have no direct proof of this theory, and it does sound ridiculous I know. However, the first theory that Tia is pregnant makes perfect sense, and the repercussions, although not necessarily in game ones are huge.  What sort of hero is Maxim, if he goes and beds Selan, and gets her pregnant when he has a baby on the way he refuses to even acknowledge during his quest.  It in fact, makes him a self centered pig!

Snafu, Burger Time, Sea Battle, Word Fun, Utopia, Frog Bog, Thin Ice, and of course Masters of the Universe: The Power of He-Man were many titles enjoyed by my brothers and I while growing up. I can remember sitting down with my brothers and or friends playing these games on Friday evenings after school was over. Read More…

Here’s some interesting, the NES has become the first downloadable application for Mac’s iPhone OS 1.2. The NES application emulates the Nintendo Entertainment System, letting you play various games right on your iPhone.

Yes the Nintendo lives on!

The nice part is that there are already many public domain and home-brew games available for the Nintendo which in theory you can download for free, well you would think so anyway. You need ROM images to use the NES application, which are basically images of games written for the Nintendo Entertainment System platform. Depending on your location you may be able to legally own a ROM image of a game that you already own.

Some features include landscape mode where you can turn your iPhone counter-clockwise, zapper tap where you can shoot objects on screen, full screen mode, save state and even the game genie.

We stumbled upon this video which may help you install NES to your iPhone. Please do this at your own risk!
